"Arelate" was the Roman name for Arles,
a city in southern France.  It is pronounced
Are-eh-lah-teh.  Arelate Studio derives from the
days when I was studying the Merovingians,
a Germanic tribe who lived there.

Every pattern leaflet has a color picture on the front cover, a black-and-white chart with symbols in a large format for easy reading, and a list of the DMC floss colors required for that pattern. The sources for the design are given along with the materials and techniques needed. Stitch count and sizes of the finished product are given from 10-ct fabric to 18-ct fabric.

The books are exact copies of the original books in PDF format.
